Doors open at 6:30 for Q&A/help desk/social time, with the presentation beginning at 7pm.
We’ve been talking about it for the better part of two years and now (if all stays as scheduled) WordPress 5.0 and Gutenberg will be officially released on Nov. 19, 2018.
UPDATE: The release date has been moved to Nov. 27, meaning that we will not have the official 5.0 release in-hand during our meetup. However, we’ll do what we can with the latest available public beta versions of 5.0 and Gutenberg.
While the development team has taken great strides to inform both WP users and plugin/theme developers of the changes and requirements, some sites may still experience some compatibility issues that will need to be fixed or worked around.
During the meetup we’ll take a look at all the changes in 5.0 and how they may affect you. If your site is not operating as expected following the upgrade to 5.0, please bring your questions (and WP login credentials) and we can discuss and provide assistance.
If the release date gets changed, this session will serve as a general WP help desk, similar to what we have done in the past. We may have time for these questions even if 5.0 is released on schedule, so please do not hesitate to bring your questions to the group.
